The services of the BSM Finance comprise:
Exchange and learning
The BSM Finance is providing you with a platform for exchange and mutual learning.
In collaboration with SDC the team of experts conceives and organises a number of events around issues of common concern.
The Savings & Credit Forum usually held twice a year in Switzerland, focuses on the task of learning as a joint venture. Participants are given the opportunity to get an expert's view on the chosen topic and to exchange opinions and experiences of their own.
Our activities on knowledge management comprise:
- Capitalization of experiences and elaboration of short papers on important thematic issues
- Regular up date on the state of the art and good practices
- Follow up of important web sites
- Participation in discussion groups
The information and insights gained are compiled and made available on this website. You can also retrieve from this website a Quarterly Review on Development Finance, compiled by the Finance Team.
Information and documentation
The SDC supported documentation centre - which you may feel free to visit in person - contains books, articles, reports, case studies and training material, as well as references to newsletters and organisations.
It also features a list of the most relevant web sites and an on-line catalogue. Our information manager can help...
- ...to find selected books and articles you need
- ...in providing you - on request - with updated quality documents and other literature.
Networking
- The BSM Finance team is linked worldwide and is actively networking through cooperation and mutual exchange of experience and know how.
- Based on this, we can help you build up an array of national and international contacts, to identify consultants, partners and the training courses you need.
Advice/Consultancy
- It spans from giving advice on the considerations to be taken into account while planning a project or project component to consultancy on the measurement of impact of a financial sector activity;
- It can relate to technical and institutional questions, or deals with regulatory issues;
- It comprises the offer to be a sounding board, "a second opinion" or just to share different experiences.
