ICAR National Award won by CALPI The Action Research (AR) to Improve the Traditional Milk Sector implemented by CALPI, a programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by Intercooperation, has won the ICAR National Award for outstanding interdisciplinary Team Research in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for the biennium 2005 – 2006.

Intercooperation Bangladesh was awarded two projects by Shiree, an initiative funded by DfID aiming at lifting one million people from extreme poverty by 2015. These projects fall under the innovation founds 1 and 2 of Shiree, which selected in fine 14 proposals through a very highly competitive process, involving more than 400 NGOs. Intercooperation is the only organisation which was selected twice.

Intercooperation is getting more profiled in impact and evaluation studies Intercooperation has been mandated to implement several impact studies or programme evaluations on behalf of SDC, EFSE, GTZ and ICIPE. Intercooperation’s large experience and competences in terms of survey methodologies, data collection and analysis makes IC a strong player on the impact studies market.
Intercooperation together with Shen a national Armenian organisation, will implement the new SDC rural Development Project in the region of Meghri, South Armenia Entitled “Markets for Meghri”, the project will support the development of horticulture value chains and enhance transformation and marketing of the products applying the “Making Markets Work For the Poor” (M4P) approach

Micro-finance and IC Intercooperation was happy to see Muhammed Yunus and the Grameen Bank winning the Nobel Peace Prize for "their efforts to create economic and social development from below".

New Project in Albania gets underway After a short introduction phase, in 1 July 2006 IC started a new „Decentralization and Local Development Programme“ (DLDP) in Northern Albania. Financed by SDC (phase 1: July 2006 – December 2009), the project functions through a programme support office in Shkodra.
Non-Timber Forest Products between poverty alleviation and market forces
One year on after the Pakistan earthquake The earthquake that hit Pakistan on 8 October 2005 caused greatest devastation in the North West Frontier Province, where Intercooperation is implementing a number of projects (notably FFSP and IPRP). A special grant of CHFr 5,000 was mobilised by Intercooperation towards immediate relief.

Two Intercooperation experts selected as Lead Author for the 5th Assessment Report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) The IPCC is the leading body for the assessment of climate change to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic consequences.
