An important formal step towards the merger of Intercooperation and Helvetas

The Foundation Council of Intercooperation in its meeting held on the 20th January 2011 in Berne has approved the transaction contract with Helvetas.
With this important step the merger between two Swiss development NGOs has been sanctioned by the highest authority of Intercooperation. On the side of Helvetas a similar decision is expected at its extraordinary Annual General Meeting to take place on April 9th in Zürich. The actual merger will happen on 30th June/1st July 2011 by joining all operational activities, assets and staff of Intercooperation and Helvetas into HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation. The Foundation Intercooperation continues to exist for the time being, but without operations.
