Ms. Vreni Müller-Hemmi and Mr. Serge Chappatte elected to Intercooperation’s Foundation Committee

On its meeting of January 21th, 2008 the Foundation Council has elected Ms. Müller-Hemmi and Mr. Chappatte as independent members to Intercooperation’s Foundation Council.
Ms. Müller-Hemmi was until November 2007 Member of the Swiss Parliament for the Social Democratic Party. Throughout her political career she has been committed to issues of international cooperation holding a variety of important positions in commissions and civil society organizations. Ms. Müller-Hemmi replaces Ms. Rosmarie Zapfl, who resigned from the Foundation Committee in early 2007. |

| Mr. Chappatte was until his retirement in late 2007 Assistant Director General of SDC. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in development cooperation and an extensive knowledge of bilateral, multilateral and policy work of SDC. Mr. Chappatte replaces Simon Rietbergen who has left IUCN and has hence resigned from the Foundation Committee. |
