Former IC Executive Director becomes ICIMOD Director General

The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, ICIMOD, has announced that Dr Andreas Schild has been selected as the new Director General designate.
Dr Schild was the Executive Director of Intercooperation from 1988 - 2000,
during which period the organisation underwent considerable growth and
expanded in thematic coverage. He left Intercooperation to return to
field based activities, working in North Korea (for the UNDP financed aid
coordination programme) and subsequently, in Afghanistan (for the National
Solidarity Programme). Dr Schild will take up his new position at ICIMOD,
