Kathmandu to Jiri: A photo journey
This collection goes on to show how forests have helped regenerate water bodies, thus increasing soil fertility and promoting agriculture productivity through the forest-agriculture interface. Some of these collections are proof of how, despite urbanization, community forestry institutions have played a role in increasing forest coverage.
The collection also emphasises some of the aesthetic quality of green hills and other environmental services that these forests provide. The biological control of landslides and soil erosion through Community Forestry is one of the remarkable achievements of community efforts, as highlighted in several pictures.
