Addressing spatial poverty traps
The workshop was jointly sponsored by CPRC, the Civil
Society Partnership Programme of ODI, Trocaire and the Swiss Agency for
Development and Cooperation.
In a paper entitled Addressing chronic poverty and spatial poverty traps in Nepal's middle hills: The Nepal Swiss Community Forestry Project , the activities of the NSCFP are described. A paper entitled Empowerment and poverty reduction in rural communities - a case study on changes in civil society and local government practices and lessons for influencing pro-poor policy details the activities of the SAHA project in Madagascar.
